Up for sale is a 1962 Cadillac 4 door hardtop. This is a one-owner car that's been in the family for three generations, the grandfather bought this car brand new, traveled numerous times from coast to coast. It spent most of its time in California and some on the east coast in Florida. The car has begun and extensive restoration, over $10,000 was spent on this car, including rebuilt engine, complete rebuilt suspension, bushings, bearings, brakes, brake lines, including the hard lines on the frame. The engine build includes a shop professional machine shop doing all the engine work. Including all the receipts and records, and documentation. The pumps and accessories on the engine are also replaced, air conditioning pump, alternator, water pump. But the project came to a halt when the interior restoration portion started, the dash was removed to replace the wiring and the steam of the project came to a halt. At this point everything that was removed is included in the sale. All the dash parts, all the wiring, everything is still with the car. It will need to be reinstalled. The bodywork was never started. There is some rust bubbling along the bottom of the car. It's coming through along the edges on the lower rocker areas and lower door areas, there is also a significant spot on the passenger floorboard that will need to be replaced. Additionally there is a damaged just over the windshield on the top, not rusted through, it's a dent from some type of contact. The body is overall in very straight condition and is very restorable. At the very least if this car were purchased as a parts car, these items that were restored could add to a restoration and speed up anyone's project but it would be a shame to not finish this vehicle. It has a great start, a lot of money spent on it, and a nice history as a family-owned Cadillac. This vehicle is being sold as is it's a project the rebuilt engine has never been started, and the car's not been driven since the restoration has begain.
