1971 Cadillac Fleetwood El Deora -- Additional Info:
Ultra Motorsports is thrilled to offer this very unique ONE OF A KIND and ORIGINAL collector car. This 1971 Cadillac Fleetwood El Deora Wagon was special ordered when new by none other than Evel Knievel himself. Great provenance accompanies this car in the form of the ORIGINAL TITLE with Evel and Linda Knievel's wet signatures! There is also detailed ownership history since Evel Knievel. Amazingly, none of the previous owners ever titled the car, for fear of devalue! A 1971 Cadillac wagon is hard to find, an El Deora conversion is rare, but a car owned by Evel Knievel is like trying to find bigfoot. According to our research, the American Sunroof Corp was the designer and builder responsible for these conversions. ASC has a very long history with all American auto makers and offered build to suit conversion packages for certain vehicles. A customer would go to their dealer and special order these conversions. The customer would be able to select numerous options that were outside those available on factory models. Then ASC (American Sunroof Corp) was contracted to start customizing the owners new car before the dealer even took possession. These conversions were then considered 'factory conversions'. This car was sold new to Evel Knievel and the ASC - El Deora conversion package added prior to delivery. By the looks of things, Evel sold the car to a broker/dealer two years later. That dealer held it for a several years and sold it at an auction. A private seller bought the car 30+ years ago at that auction and stashed it away in a private collection. The car has NEVER been registered by anyone other than Evel Knievel. The car is what you would expect of an unrestored original car. The paint has some cracks and chips but still looks very presentable. The headliner has a few holes. The seats and dash are remarkably in very good condition. The car seems to be running and driving very well, although it has not been driven more than a mile or so. Overall, this vehicle is presented in good condition with a fantastic story. THIS CAR IS 100% ORIGINAL with 36,000 ORIGINAL MILES! If you are a Cadillac enthusiast this is a piece of history. If you are a customization or hot rod enthusiast, this represents the cutting edge for commercial custom work. If you are an Evel Knievel fan, this car is the next best thing to owning one of his Harleys. There may not be another opportunity to own a car that was owned by America's first extreme sports athlete. Museums are built in his honor. Festivals are put on to honor his iconic status. 1971 Cadillac Fleetwood El Deora Wagon customized and purchased new by Evel Knievel.
