1966 Cadillac DeVille Additional Info:
I am selling a beautiful 1966 Cadillac Deville Convertible. It has always been a pleasure to drive, a great looking car and always reliable driver. Starts right up everytime, idles smooth, runs, drives, and stops on a dime. The frame is in solid and great shape. The floors and trunk are in good shape as well with minimal imperfections. The convertible top is new so it is in great shape as well with no rips or tears. It has a glass back window, not the cheap platic ones, and it goes up and down with the press of a button. The black interior is in great shape overall with no rips or tears and has little to no wear. The seats (front and back) were reupholstered and the carpet was rep;aced the same time as the vinyl convertible top was done, so they're all like new. The original dash pad has some cracks from the sun over the years (typical for convertibles), can be easily be replaced or recovered. All the lights, wipers, power top, and power windows, etc...work as they should(drivers side passenger window is temperamental at times). The chrome bumpers are in good shape but are beginning to show their age, and the rest of the trim/ brightwork looks good. Overall its a great collectible Cadillac. Not a show or museum car, but a great driver, ready to drop the top and go to your local car show or just cruise around town and enjoy.
This is a NO RESERVE auction, meaning the car will be sold to the highest bidder. Sold as is. Feel free to message me with offers, questions, or to come see the car in person.
Now that that has all been said, in the interest of full disclosure, I had just purchased this car, and all the previous description was from the person I bought it from. It sounded good to me so I just copied it. My father had one of these cars when i was a kid, and I have always wanted one, so on a whim I bought this..........My wife had other ideas. So without writing a Dear Abby description of what transpired, I am reselling the car to save my marriage. My loss will undoubtedly be someone elses gain. Just a few footnotes that I can add in the short time Ive been able to drive the car. The rear drivers side window doesn't work, all the others do and the rear passenger one is stubborn at times. There is no working radio in the car, although the original is still in the dash. It looks like whomever had it before had an aftermarket one in the glove box at one time. The original button for the top apparently isnt working so there is a toggle switch they installed beside it. The car has no actual title in the true sense of the word. It has a transferable registration, which is common for cars older then 1973 if found out. I am not a 'car guy' by any means, but I will try to answer any questions you have best I can. I dont know if the mileage is original, and it will increase a little while the ad is up, as I will drive and enjoy it as long as I can.
