1941 Cadillac Fleetwood Additional Info:
One of only two known to exist... A virtual duplicate of the car owned by the legendary Bette Davis. This outstanding automobile was custom-built for an executive of the Fanny Farmer Candy Company in 1941. The high level of craftsmanship and engineering dedicated to this car is apparent, from the fit and finish of the tailored interior to the ultra-quiet and incredibly smooth power of its engine. The automobile steers almost effortlessly once in motion, and the brakes bring it to a halt quickly and in a straight line. The original wool/mohair upholstered passenger area is extremely comfortable and is separated from the leather-appointed driver's compartment by a sliding-glass partition. The coach lights and step-plates are unique to this car, as is the custom-made armrest-installed receptacle for the original owner's perfume bottle, leather-bound writing pad, and compact mirror. Always garaged, the Cadillac has been impeccably maintained and serviced since new. The leather driver's roof is is completely removable and can be stored in the two custom-made covers located in the trunk. The current (second) owner has treasured this automobile for the past forty-seven years, and is an active member of the CCCA. Ready to drive and thoroughly enjoy as-is, or, for the enthusiast who wants a fully-restored, like-new car, this could be the absolute best all-original starting-point for a show-winning Concours-quality automobile. Note that Ms. Davis' car recently sold at auction for $159,500. Serious inquiries will receive a polite and prompt response.
