1942 Cadillac Fleetwood Additional Info:
ATTENTION CADILLAC ENTHUSIASTS, HERE IS AN OPPORTUNITY TO OWN THIS RARE 1942 CADILLAC, VERIFIED BY THE CADILLAC DATA BASE TO BE THE 5TH KNOWN SURVIVOR IN EXISTENCE. THIS 7519 F MODEL IS BODY # 37 OF 65 PRODUCED IN 1942,THE LAST PRE-WAR CADILLAC WAS PRODUCED IN FEB.1942, AT THAT POINT CADILLAC SHIFTED IT'S PRODUCTION TO THE WAR EFFORT MAKING TRANSMISSIONS FOR TANKS AS WELL AS AIRPLANE ENGINE PARTS. I PURCHASED THIS CADILLAC FROM THE ESTATE OF A GENTLEMEN WHO'S PASSION WAS TO RESTORE THIS RARE BEAUTY TO IT'S ORIGINAL CONDITION, UNFORTUNATELY HE WAS ONLY ABLE TO COMPLETE APPROX. 70% OF THE RESTORATION BEFORE HIS DEMISE. AFTER 15- 20 YEARS OF SITTING THEIR GARAGE THE FAMILY DECIDED TO PART WITH THIS CAR. THE BODY WAS OFF THE FRAME AND MOST EVERYTHING UNDERNEATH WAS REPLACED OR REBUILT INCLUDING THE ENGIN, WHICH PURRS LIKE A KITTEN. OTHER THAN A 1/2 DOOR SKIN OR REPLACE DOOR THE BODY IS IN OVERALL GREAT SHAPE, BUT WILL REQUIRE SOME MINOR FINISHING. I WAS TOLD BY THE FAMILY THAT THIS CAR WAS PURCHASED NEW BY A MINISTER IN MANHASSE, LONG ISLAND AND HAD A DRIVER FOR HIM AND HIS FAMILY. THIS 5 PASSENGER FORMAL SEDAN HAD A CURVED GLASS AND WOOD DIVIDER SEPARATING THE DRIVER FROM THE PASSENGERS WHICH WAS MISSING. DURING MY OWNERSHIP I WAS VERY LUCKY AND FOUND A COMPLETE 1941 7519F PARTS OR RESTORE CAR IN CONNECTICUT WITH A DIVIDER AND TONS OF GREAT INTER-CHANGEABLE PARTS. THIS VERY RARE 1942 HAS BEEN KEPT IN OUR HEATED BUILDING AND PROTECTED FROM THE ELEMENTS. THIS IS A SUPER OPPORTUNITY TO OWN A VERY RARE CADILLAC SURVIVOR, 1 OF 5 KNOWN LEFT OF 65 PRODUCED AND A GREAT INVESTMENT TOO. THIS CAR HAS A V8 W/3 SPEED ON THE COLUMN AND IT RUNS AND DRIVES. GREAT PACKAGE . BID WITH CONFIDENCE.PHOTOS SHOW BOTH CARS. WILL ASSIST WITH LOADING.
