1968 Cadillac Eldorado E - Body Additional Info:
I have a beautiful 1968 Cadillac Eldorado for sale. This car has always been garage kept. The vinyl roof is a replacement from the original but is in great condition and has no cracks. The car has the original hubcaps and still looks great. The gold paint is original minus the doors. I believe they were repainted in the late 70's. All of the lights on and in the cadillac work and are crystal clear. The glass is all original and has no chips or cracks. All vinyl and cloth inside the vehicle are in great condition and have no stains or tears in them. Seats and carpet are in excellent condition and have no sign of wear and tear. Seats six comfortably and has seat belts for everyone. The front bench seat has multiple electric adjustments and has a black diamond stiched pattern. It's a vinyl and cloth upholstered seat with the same stitching as the front. The telescoping steering wheel has no cracks or stains and all of the switches work. Original mono A.M. Radio with 3-speaker works well and still gets a few stations. The electric antenna doesn't go up. The motor runs and the clutch mechanism still works. I think the antenna may be held on something. The headliner is flawless. Has four ashtrays with 3 cigarette lighters that work but haven't been used because this vehicle has never been smoked in. Has original documents and spare tire/jack. The trunk is huge, has the original carpet and is very clean. No water damage or rust inside. Engine starts on 1st/2nd crank. Runs and drives with no problems and shifts through every gear smoothly. The original 472 cu inch 7.7L Cadillac engine came with 375 hp and runs strong. All equipment that runs on the vacuum (headlight covers, locks, ect) works very well. The driver side headlight cover does have a small air leak but it doesn't start to affect the cover for a week or so. The car has newer white wall tires with plenty of tread. Has disk brakes all around. All of the chrome is original and in great condition. All in all this car is a collectors car. Cadillac did amazing things to there vehicles so early to give it such a luxurious feel in the late 60's.
