DESCRIPTION:

This is a 75th Anniversary, 5th Generation, 1977 Cadillac Coupe DeVille with very low mileage. The car has had only one owner in its lifetime and everything appears original (with the exception of typical replacement items like battery, spark plugs, etc.) This model was the first year of the downsized DeVille body in response to new government pollution and gas efficiency requirements. The engine has the carburetor, not fuel injection, option, the last year a carburetor was offered at all for this motor and vehicle model. The interior is practically flawless and evidence points to never having any smokers in it. The trunk still has its felt mat with no sign of water intrusion (no mold, no moldy smell). All windows have the stock manufacturer stamp so the glass appears original. The half vinyl top is soft and pliable and looks great. The paint has minimal fading. There are only dimples in the metal to blemish the look. A “Continental Kit” (external covered spare tire) was added to the rear end. The “numbers” (VIN, registration, etc.) are consistent for this model.

Downside:

The plastic rear panel extensions are cracked on both sides, likely as a result of UV damage. There is rust on the undercarriage and in the engine well, but there is no indication of damage to the metal and can probably be cleaned off (with the possible exception to the valve covers). The engine was last started in 2012 but it is believed it ran great at that time, so a minor flushing and update might be all that is needed.
