1985 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz Convertible 2-Door Additional Info:
1985 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz convertible. 2 owner, rust free, well cared for, always garaged, runs and drives exc, motor is silent, well maintained always, great driving car. Originally bought as a 50th birthday gift for the original owners wife, then purchased in 2013 by a retired gentleman to used as a pleasure car at his lake house. It has had a kind and pampered life, that said it does have some defects, most obviously being the typical deterioration of the plastic filler panels (I have a complete new set that will come with the car). Also as beautiful as the interior is it does have a couple seam separations in the drivers seat bottom (see pic), the factory carpets are perfect although the factory floor mat has a worn spot where the drivers heel rubbed. Mechanically the only item not functioning is the AC. The previous owner never used it in Maine so never felt compelled to recharge the R12 system. Tires are exc, newer alternator, battery, power steering pump, belts, etc. The body and undercarriage have no rust and have never had any repaired. The paint is generally presentable with the exception of the drivers door. At some point the original owner had at least the driver door repainted and the older lacquer paint is checking and has flaked off in several spots on this door, also there is some checking on the windshield header (see pics). The car can be enjoyed as is or would be quite a show stopper with the paint work and fillers done. That is my intent if I do not sell the car in this auction. I have too many cars and need to make enough space in my barn. I will have several of my classics up for sale and need to sell at least one before the snow flies.
I have many more pics and will gladly answer any questions, I have experience in shipping cars and can assist the buyer. Inspections are welcome, just be mindful that the car is stored at my lake house in Maine and I would need notice as the house is 2 hours away. For sipping please use the Wakefield, MA. zip code 01880 as shipping from there is quite a bit cheaper for most and I will bring the car to my home in Wakefield to be shipped.
Thank you for looking. Mark
