SELLING WITH NO RESERVE
This exceptional 56 appears to be almost all original including most of the paint. Equiped with a 322 inch Nailhead and Dynaflow, it runs and drives great. The body is unbelievably rust free and straight. There is an old windshield stickerdated 1978 from Texas. The left front fender may have a small amount of bondo near the bottom edge and some paint work. The rest of the car looks original. A photo of the right fender shows some very thin paint. Both rockers and inner rockers are excellent and super straight. Left rear quarter has a slight dent at the bottom edge ( 1/2 inch x 10 inches). Look at the photos of the door jambs, unpainted striker plates and no evidence of overspray. From 60 years of exposure the paint is not perfect and could stand a good clean up. Chrome is all good, the front bumper has a few small dents. glass is all very good except for the right front door, a 2inch crack top front and some safety glass bubbles at bottom edge, see photo. Interior is all original, seat fabric has some wear and tears, carpet is covered with clear plastic, door panels and headliner are very good. the steering wheel, dash pad and dash are exceptional. The headliner and chrome bands are very nice.
Misc.New dual exhaust from the manifolds to the rear bumperDual side view mirrorsNew tiresClock worksTrunk shows a little dirtParts in the trunk indicate, new brakes, wheel cylinders, coil, and dist cap. There are 3 1956 full wheel discs and the spare looks like the 1956 tire and wheel/Mileage showing is 4,000, from the overall condition of the car and pedal wear it is not a 4000 mile car but it also DOES NOT look like a 104,000 mile car.
Personal noteswhen you drive the car EVERYTHING feels right, the steering is tight the brakes are good the engine and trans are smooth, and when you sit behind the wheel and put your hands on it and see the dash you are impressed..But most impressive is when you close any of the 4 doors. Even with a slight touch each door has the right feel and sound when they close, a nice double click.
Read on, I find most of you won't read all of this, but there is moreIf you want the very best original Roadmaster this is it, don't miss it.

PSMissing 3 letters on the deck lidThere is a very minor exhaust leak. When crawling under the car looking for the leak, the bottom is really clean but both the frame and sheetmetal would look great with a little fresh paint. The car has not seen rain in 25 years, and has been in inside climate controlled storage, but it has been driven and maintained.Selling with a current Georgia registrationThe Ohio plate was for me to drive it around, this is N O T a northern car, records show it came from Texas and went to Tennessee
Car is near Macon, inspections welcomed
The car has a new 12v battery but it is not the correct long style
