This 1970 Buick Skylark 350 coupe was acquired by the seller in 2013 and subsequently modified for drag racing with a 462ci V8, a Midwest Muncie M23 four-speed manual transmission, and a Quick Performance 9” rear axle with a Yukon locker. Additional modifications include a nitrous-oxide injection system, an electronic ignition system, a ProForm 950cfm carburetor, a front brake line locker, a Lakewood Blowproof bell housing, a driveshaft safety loop, adjustable front coilovers, Global West front control arms, and UMI Performance adjustable rear control arms. This modified Skylark coupe is now offered with a spare set of 15″ Cragar wheels with Mickey Thompson tires as well as build documentation, a workshop manual, a spare nitrous-oxide tank, an uninstalled tow hitch, and a Washington State title in the seller’s name.
The car left the factory in Gulfstream Blue (25) and is said to have been repainted in the mid-1980s. Features include a hood scoop, body-color side mirrors, and chrome bumpers. The body was removed from the chassis during the aforementioned build, and areas of rust, discoloration, and peeling paint are shown up close in the gallery.

On Mar-30-26 at 21:15:05 PDT, seller added the following information:
The car ran ten 1/4 mile passes at 115-117 mph, 12.12 best, naturally aspirated, but the gearing of the trans @ 2.20 first gear killed the 60 foot time. I sent back the trans to Midwest Muncie and Jeff changed gearing to the 2.99 first that with the 3.7 rear gear is the business. Easy 11’s naturally aspirated. Please know that the Nitrous system was never introduced to the drive train. I wanted to dial in the car the chassis tune the car N/A first then chasis tune on the Dyno to dial in the nitrous. Never got there as our life plans have changed. Mahalo.
