1987 Buick Regal Y56 T Package LC2 3.8 Turbo Additional Info:
This is an exceptional example of a well-cared for 1987 Buick Regal equipped with the Y56 "T" Package and LC2 factory 3.8 turbo. Buick Dark Blue Metallic (WA8592). FE3 Sport Suspension code, which is standard in the legendary Grand National. The tinted windows have preserved the factory interior during its weekend cruises. This was the last year of the rear-wheel drive regals. Very low production and not many people realize this vehicle was actually lighter than the Grand National due to several factors, including the aluminum T-Type wheels versus the steel GN wheels, also aluminum bumper braces (trunk label code VD6 and VD7) helped shed weight off the nose (the GN used steel units).
A grand total of 4,268 Base Regals were produced with the LC2 Turbo option, making it rarer than the 20,193 Grand Nationals produced in 1987. Although it is very difficult to narrow down exactly how many of the 4,268 were also optioned with the Y56 T package, here's a general breakdown of the production numbers I found online for 1987:
