1954 Buick Other Additional Info:

Up for sale is a fully restored 1954 Buick Special 2 door Hard top with the 264 cu in V8 2bbl carb and slandered transmission, that is beautifully done. A frame off and rotisserie restoration. (The car looks new) The car was originally sold new in Emporia Kansas at Newton Bros. The restoration was completed in 2003. The car was taken apart for the restoration and meticulously reassembled. The bottom side of the car looks better than when new. (pleas look at all pictures closely) New Paint in its original colors and very well done. All bright work was re-chromed and all stainless was polished. The interior looks amazing, just like a new car would. Bright dash and interments with beautiful upholstery throughout. All lights, gages, wipers, heater and everything else works as they should. The engine was also rebuilt, but my owner after driving the car for several hundred miles started to hear an engine noise. it doesn't seem to be getting the proper oil distribution to the rockers. It does have good oil pressure. He had it checked, and the right bank rocker assembly is not getting enuf oil to the top of the assembly. We think that the new camshaft might have not gotten the grove notch in the back of cam to help with oiling. Either the cam needs changed or pulled, and the notch put in the cam? we are not sure. My owner doesn't want to do it. The car runs but you can hear the lifters a little. To fix the problem one would probably want to pull the engine and my owner is not up to the task. He doesn't want to drive it, so, we will sell it. Could be an easy fix. The car has been driven 2058 miles and just started the noise. This is a real nice show car, and very well done as is, but probably shouldn't be driven until the lifter noise is addressed. The car is running new radial tires from Cocker Tires, and it drives like new.I'm listing this beautiful Little Buick for my friend, and I will take all questions to him.
