Buy this beauty and just drive it home! This car runs like an absolute champand has been my daily driver 9 months out of the year since 2019. Starts every time and super reliable. I have so much faith in this car my wife and I took it on a 2000 mile backroads road trip. Top down the entire way and zero issues.
This 1965 Buick Special Convertible is a stunning car that turns heads. 82800 original miles. Original 225ci Fireball V6 engine (115 HP)and original 2-speed Super Turbine 300 automatic transmission. The car has a clean title and has been very well-maintained over the years (I have tons of receipts from previous owners).
I had the engine and tranny pulled and re-sealed in 2019. New brakes & brake lines, new hydraulic pump for convertible top, new shocks, two-reservoir master cylinder, 7000 miles on tires. All work since I've owned it done by John Ahlbrand at Dusty Boots Restoration in Covington, KY. I highly encourage anyone interested to contact him. He's been over every inch of the car and will give you an honest assessment of anything. One thing he'll tell you is that the tranny drips when the car sits for extended periods. Other than that, not a drip anywhere,
The exterior has been repainted in original Arctic White that compliments the red interior.Interior could use some attention but is still a solid 7 out of 10. Black, hydraulic-powered convertible top is sun-faded but otherwise very good, not perfect. It does not leak, keeps the rain out of the car and looks very good overall but has one tiny nick and a small cosmetic blemish on the trim (see pix). Comes with a boot to cover the top when down. There's a nick on the passenger-side of the front seat. If I was keeping it I'd probably have the seats reupholstered but that's really it.
I believe 100% in keeping my car karma solid and I have nothing to hide. Ask me anything and you'll get the truth. I absolutely love this car and would not be parting with it except my dream car (72 Cutlass Supreme Convertible) fell into my lap and I don't need two.
