1963 Buick Riviera Additional Info:
This 1963 Buick Riviera grabbed your attention because it's a sharp-looking and well-priced big V8 classic. But as you dig a little deeper, you'll see a huge investment over every inch of this car, right down to its supple leather interior. The result is the hardtop that caught your eye for looks but will also win you over for its crisp and quality total package.
It's been said that there was over $40,000 spent on restoring this Buick, and it's not hard to believe that from its stellar first impression. The Pearl White Metallic paint has the unmistakable look of a modern application and a professional hand applying it. The '63 Riviera deserves a solid investment because it this is the first year for the car, and it really brings out all the amazing details. Crisply defined lines with pointed ends always made these large coupes look both elegant and aggressive. Plus, those mirror-like chrome bumpers love to hug all the distinctive curves of both the front and the rear. And the addition of the 20-inch Boss wheels is the ideal upgrade for a coupe that loves to be premium, sporty, and overall sharp.
Just like the outside, they made all the right interior investments. For example, the seats have the classic button-top presentation, but they are now finished in a supple leather that would make a Lexus jealous. This is a true individual cruiser, and that's why everyone has bucket seats, including the rear. The tasteful ivory is not only on the seats, but also the center console, door panels, dash, and headliner for a fresh and uniform look. Items like the carpeting and steering wheel are finished in a tasteful black so that high traffic areas don't show dirt, which makes this the ideal driver. The investment here was about showing off the classic luxury of a Riviera, and so you've got a ton of great factory features. This includes the power driver's seat, power locks, tilt steering column, and factory AM/FM radio. There's a smooth action on the power windows from a nice investment during the restoration, and so that makes it easy to show off the pillarless hardtop profile without ever leaving the driver's seat. And the cold-blowing R134a air conditioning means you can enjoy this look and stay comfortable even on those hot summer nights.
Buick knew that effortless performance was the key to the Riviera's success, so it's great to have the original 401 cubic-inch V8 still in the engine bay. They made sure to dress it up correctly so that everyone can easily see the big red block and the matching red air topper with Wildcat 445 callout (remember Buick liked to boast about the motor's massive torque.) The V8 inhales deeply with the four-barrel carburetor, and exhales with dignified sweet tune out of the dual exhaust. The overall exceptional presentation of the engine bay points to nice investments in keeping this Buick running smoothly. Speaking of smooth operation, this one feels nice on the road thanks to an investment in the suspension during the restoration. Even a correct Dynaflow automatic transmission was recently installed. Add in Power steering and power brakes w/discs up front, and this Riviera continues its terrific cruiser attitude.
This is the restored classic that has a terrific shine, big V8 power, and all the luxury you want. So don't let this total package slip away. Call now!
