1965 Buick Skylark GS Convertible

Fast440 is pleased to offer this 1965 Buick Skylark GS Convertible. Keep in mind that only 1400 units were ever produced on the first year production run GS Sport Package, and this Texas Solid example is well worth the restoration effort. Mileage is believed to be original, and the 401 Nail Head V-8 has never been out of the car (time for a rebuild) The car runs starts and stops well with a knock in the Motor, it is what it is, so no high hopes that you can avoid the process, no cracks in the Block. The Power-Glide Transmission shifts firm, Brakes and Suspension all good in terms of Lot Drive. Well equipped with Power Steering, Power Brakes and Power Top.

Inspection of the Vehicle Exterior will reveal straight Body Panels with minor rust at the base of one of the Quarter Panels, and the bottom of both Doors. Also some rust issues around the area where the Deck Lid meets the rear of the car behind the Trunk seal. In our opinion a lot of good body to work with.

The undercarriage inspection will reveal solid Floor Pans, Inner and outer Rocker Panels and a solid Frame. Trunk Pan shows minor pin-holes and will not render replacement unless concourse restoration is your goal.

The Interior is in good shape with somewhat recent Seat Upholstery replacement and Carpet.

Last Registered and inspected only a few years back, so other than described above, it would not take too much to get the car back on the road. All there and priced to sell.

Please call us immediately with any questions or concerns.

Thank you, Fast440/Brent.

Attention Bidders: Wrong terminology was used on part of the above description of this Vehicle. The Engine is Date Code Correct and NOT Numbers Matching. Engine Stamp shows LT which verifies 1965 401 Nail Head Motor, however the partial V.I.N. Stamp does not match the Body V.I.N or the Texas Title. The Engine looks like it has never been out of the car, and this swap must have happened 35 years ago plus. Sorry for the mistake, no misleading information intended.
