You are looking at my 1987 Buick Turbo T. This car is a bit unique in how it was ordered, being silver, with burgundy bench seat, column shift, manual windows, manual locks and no rear defrost, but the turbo 3.8 engine. There is a picture of the original RPO code sticker from the trunk (real LC2 car) in the pictures to document the factory options. It has a clean, clear Ohio title in my name, with a clear history. The main highlight of this car, besides how its optioned, is that it has a NEW, Weber built, 249 cubic inch stroker motor, with all paperwork and docs with the build included. Build has break in miles only, approximately 500. 126k miles on body. Wheels are freshly refinished gta wheels (done with 4 fronts so no spacers are needed) and like new Michelin tires. I have owned the vehicle approximately 8 years.
Engine/Transmission/Driveability: Car has (as mentioned above) a fresh Weber built stroker motor ($12,000 in the build), with front mount intercooler, 212/212 cam, new crank, pistons, etc as you would expect, ported and blueprinted front cover, etc. The last 4 pics show the details of the build.
In addition to the engine, other new items (summer 2019) include Precision 67mm turbo from Hartline ($1400), new turbo tweak chip (100-104 octane tune), turbo tweak injectors, scanmaster, maf and maf translator ($1000), again, all with receipts. Transmission and rear end were also built several years ago, but I do not have the receipts anymore. Lorenz did the installation of the engine plus the additional items ($3000) (some of the highlights):
- Walbro 450
- FireCore plug wires
- Lorenz billet boost controller
- New turbo oil feed line
- Iac sensor
- O2 sensor
As you can tell, between the engine, precision turbo, turbo tweak items, and misc engine related items above, there is roughly $17,500 in receipts just for the big items just in the last year
Body/Paint/Underneath: The paint on the car is driver quality, no major damage, but some scuffs to be expected on a 32 year old car. Bumper fillers were replaced with fiberglass ones about 10 years ago, paint match is ok but not perfect. There is a spot (2”x4”)above the driver door where it looks like it may have been wet sanded too hard. Small spot on the lower corner of the driver door and a small spot that was touched up in the middle of the passenger side quarter panel (easy to see in the pic).
Interior: Seats and carpet are in excellent shape. They were replaced with a set from a car with 23k miles, and the interior presents as such. When was the last time you saw the original floor mats?! This has them, all 4. Headliner and visors are also newly (professionally) done.
What it needs / what I would do if I kept it: factory lcd tach and boost do not work properly (very common), and the rear speakers need to be installed.
In general, it’s a real fun vehicle It’s a real head turner, runs real good, and has all of the coolest options that were available. Feel free to ask any questions you may have. Vehicle is located at my house in Medina, Oh (20 minutes from Cleveland airport). It is available for inspection to a serious buyer. My driveway and turn around is large enough to get a truck and trailer. Car Hauler could be loaded up in front of my house. I will be happy to coordinate with your shipper.
I would potentially entertain a trade, ideally a lower priced vehicle plus cash, as I am looking to purchase a zr1. Camaro, Corvette, IROC, Trans Am, Turbo Regals, etc.
I apologize for the title of Grand National. I know the difference between the GN, T Type, Turbo T, We4's, etc, but could not get the title to change.
