Excellent condition, rear-wheel drive, automatic transmission Buick Roadmaster Estate Wagon. Originally purchased in Florida; it has spent the past 25 years there as a senior driver's "trip car". This car has been well cared for, it has never been in an accident and it has always been housed in a closed garage. It was my mother’s and she used it to go to play bridge, trips tot Publix, and occasional road trips with my dad to North Georgia.
The car's original pearl white paint is in excellent condition, as is the tan-colored vinyl upholstery and carpet. There is some minor peeling of the laminate film on the rear driver’s side trim, and the carpet directly below the driver’s seat has some discoloration. It can be cleaned. Otherwise the carpet is very good. Please note these mentions in the photos. I have not had the car detailed so my photos should give you an accurate view of the level of excellent care and condition that this 25 year-old car is in.
Underneath hood a clean, low mileage GM power plant,a V8 5.7 Liter engine which is reliable and easy to service. The car has rear wheel drive, power steering and impeccable handling. The transmission is four speed with overdrive. I have been averaging over 20 combined mpg since arriving in LA last weekend.
From the aerodynamic roof rack and skylight all the way down to the wire spoke wheel coverings everything on this car is factory stock with the exception of the automatic rear air shocks, There have been no modifications. My mom was a non-smoker and a very careful, conservative driver. The lucky winner of this auction will receive the original Buick Roadmaster Owner’s Manual that came with the car and access to all of my dad's paperwork and maintenance receipts. This includes the original Certified Pre-Owned Automobile Inspection & Service Certification from Lloyd Buick of Daytona Beach.
The Buick Roadmaster was perhaps the last true American muscle car to take station wagon form. After this car the roads became filled with bland mini vans and boring SUVs. This car was designed to be the state of the art, it is loaded with all the power functions, amenities and features. As powerful, smooth-riding cruiser on long road trips or an around-town daily driver that seats eight, even today few modern cars can compete. More and more enthusiasts of American cars are starting to trumpet the Buick Roadmaster’s praises simply because the Roadmaster is the result of an over sixty years of General Motors R&D and refinements. Eye-popping style, unparalleled quality and cushy, soft ride: this car becomes the center of attention where it goes!

More Vehicle History:
This 1993 Buick Roadmaster Estate Wagon was purchased by my father on June 22, 2000 for my mom’s birthday present, making him the second owner. I re-titled the car in my name from my father, hence the listing says that the car has had three owners. When purchased 18 years ago from Lloyd Buick in Daytona Beach, Florida the car had 31,295 miles. My father, an engineer himself, was especially fond of pointing out that the Roadmaster could carry full sheets of plywood or drywall even though he and my mom never would have allowed it. Many of the current 142,700 miles were from my parents’ road trips up to northern Georgia to visit relatives.
I have the car's clear, current title from the State of Florida. Additionally, I have just driven it here to Los Angeles. Prior to leaving I had it fully serviced. This included servicing the brakes, new battery, all new tires, changing all filters, oil and all fluids. The tags are the original Florida tags. My father was very good about keeping up with all scheduled oil changes and maintenance. Having driven it across country just last week I can confidently attest to the car’s reliability, power and extraordinarily comfortable ride.
The car may be offered for sale locally, therefore I reserve the right to end this auction. I do not need help selling. Thank you and happy bidding!
