1965 Buick Skylark Additional Info:
For sale is a project I bought a few years back. It was someone else's dream and I bought it to finish it but that hasn't happened yet. They had about 23k into from what the prior owner told me.
The car is orange and pearl white. I don't have the paint codes. The body shop that was customizing the car went out of business. Many pieces were missing along with the front sheet metal.
I do have a front clip for the car along with the grille and a buick special front bumper. The front end needs to be painted and a few dings fixed. I did weld up the molding holes like the rest of the car. There are no front wheel houses. With the air ride you can't use them.
The interior floor was replaced and the trunk was patched in at least one place.
Its a 1965 Skylark with Ride Tech air ride basic system. 2 switches. I have the guages and front shocks in the trunk.
The wheels are Foose brand aluminum wheels. The fronts are 18 inch and the rear are 20 inch. The rear tires are new and the fronts are like new.
There are no factory power options in the car. It was a bench seat car originally and it had blue interior.
The seats are recovered 1965 Chevelle seats. They are white/off white. The dash was dyed white along with the rear speaker panel. The headliner is brand new. The rear side panel were new 1965 Chevelle panels. I don't have the door panels or carpet. The new owner will need to purchase those.
The car has 4 wheel drum brakes. All ball joints are new.I replaced the steering column and the steering wheel is aftermarket.
I do have new weatherstrips for the car. The drivers side roof rail weather strip was already installed. I also have the new beltline weatherstrips too.
Over all the parts of the car that are painted look good. The door hanbs do have some peeling paint. The right rocker has a chip where the door hit it. The door needs adjustment.
The engine is a Chevy 305 that I had taken out of my 1986 Chevy truck daily driver. It had about 80k miles on it. I did buy a edelbrock intake and new hooked headers. It also has a edelbrock carb. I bought the correct motor mounts to do the swap. The trans is a 350 long tail. I have the drive shaft in it also. The car will run but I don't have it hooked up yet. The engine is just bolted in. I do have the exhaust as well. I will bolt that up.
The radiator support was sanded and painted with chassis saver. The grille is in pretty nice shape.
I do have most of the misc stuff that you would need to get it back on the road.
The car is in Plainfiel, ILBuyer pays transport fees. The car will need to be moved within 2 weeks.
$100 non refundable deposit at time of sale and the rest will need to be cash or cashiers check . the car and title will not leave until the check has cleared .
Make an offer it may be your lucky day.
