1987 Buick Grand National Additional Info:

Selling my 1987 Grand National for half the price of a perfect one. It is a nearly complete project car and only needs paintwork. This was owned by my friend 22 years ago and when life's responsibilities took over, it sat in his backyard for 17 years. He modified it with everything they made back in the 1990s and it had run a best of 11.7 at Atco Raceway back in 1999.Since I've owned it, my restoration effort has taken many thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours with the installation of brand new Goodmark floorpans, new doors, new trunk lid, new bumper fillers and various other new parts to make it structurally sound. Mechanically, the engine is still fresh as is the transmission, as they were all installed right before the car was parked. I have nearly every receipt documenting the parts and services that have been done.
The frame is solid and the original bushings are still good. It has Powerstop performance brakes in front and KYB shocks absorbers all around. New Classic Tube brake lines, fuel lines, new fuel tank with a 340lph pump and new sender. The brake system has already been converted to vacuum boost and stainless steed hoses were added. Everything mechanical was done within the past year. Typical oil sweating from the pan, but no leaks. AC has not been converted to R134a yet.
The interior is mostly original, but I've installed a new carpet, put sound deadening in the floors and the doors as well and there is a brand new headliner. The stereo is straight from the 1990s with a CD player (still works) and a huge subwoofer box in the trunk.

The engine was built by Shaffiroff Race Engines and inside are new pistons and reconditioned rods. It also has an Eastern Performance camshaft, main cap girdle system with ARP hardware. Modifications circa 1998 (but only have 250 miles on them) include a Precision Turbo 62 Upgrade, Eastern Performance front mount intercooler system. 200-4R with Art Carr upgrades, Precision Vigilante 2800 lockup converter, Terry Houston down pipe with integral wastegate, Kenne Bell ram air, Accufab throttle body and upper intake plenum port matched. In addition, it has a Red Armstrong performance chip, 42 lb green stripe injectors, MAF translator with LT1 sensor, a Greddy blowoff valve and a Profec Electronic Boost Controller.

I won't lie to you, it still has some small things that will probably need to be fixed such as the power antenna and so forth, but at this time, all of the hard and expensive work has been done, and the only thing left is paint for you to enjoy a low-mileage and high performance Grand National with a documented history. I am only selling it because I now have a 1989 Turbo Trans Am. Clean title under my name, ready for transfer.
