1973 Buick Riviera Additional Info:
I have up for auction this beautiful 38,540originalmil, original paint, 1973 Buick Riviera. The last year of the "Boat Tail" Riviera's, and if you asked me, the best looking rear end of them all!Recently acquired from the estate of a 98 year old gentleman, who had passed. He had been the second owner of the car since 1979. A family member told me the old gentleman had only driven it locally. For example, to the grocery store and back. It had always been parked in the garage up until the last couple years of his life. This would explain the extreme low miles and how well the original paint, interior, engine bay and trunk show. The car was well cared for, based on all the oil change, and maintenence invoices that were with all the original paperwork/manuals of the car. It is easy to see how much the older gentleman loved the car. He had even put thick shag carpet in the entirety of the trunk to protect it. I left a piece in there to illustrate. (See pics). This is one on the most pristine, original trunks I have ever seen in a classic car! Please notice what appears to be the original spare tire, with jack and tire iron. I haven't even taken that tire out myself and I suspect it may not have ever been taken out?The numbers matching 455, 4 barrel motor starts right up and runs strong. I wouldn't hesitate to cruise it anywhere. I actually did take it to several car shows this past Summer with great spectator reaction. Drives and sounds smooth as silk, brakes on a dime with the transmission shifting effortlessly.Steering is tight, no pulling. There are no known driving issues that would be a cause for concern, in my opinion. All gauges work, the radio works, the blinkers work, the clock works, thefog lights work, both headlights work, aswell as the interior lights and trunk light. To my knowledge the only thing not functioning is the AC. It is there and possibly only needs to be charged up, Idon't know?TheseBuick's had power everything: seats, windows, locks, steering, brakes, wipers. It all works! Im sure Im missing some things, as well? The interior shows very nicely. The dash pad is beautiful, the carpet and the seats are in good condition. All four original floor mats in very nice condition. The head liner in great shape. All seat belts in tact and original. There is some repair needed to both arm rests. The exterior shows very nicely with what appears to be the original Green-Gold Poly paint and cream vinyl top. Please view the pictures carefully. It does have a few areas on the lower parts of the car that would need some attention. I did not attempt to doctor up or touch up any of the areas to make it look "mint". It is only original ONCE and I liketo leave it that way and it's up to the new owner to decide howto proceed from there. The white wall tires are in good shape, with lots of tread, and sit on nice original Buick Rally wheels. Please remember this car is 44 years old and while it has appears to have been well maintained, and I have tried to cover all major details, its not practical to cover every imperfection that might be important to you. I am only allowed 24 pictures andtried to display as much of the car as possible. Please ask if you want more detail or any other pictures? I am also available to chat on the phone. The car is also available for inspection, which I would encourage. This car comes with various original manuals and brochures, as seen in one on the pictures. The clean and clear title will be freshly printed from the state of Indiana and in my name and sent to the new owner.Vehicle is being sold as-is with no warranty expressed or implied. Descriptions or representations are not intended or should be construed as a warranty orguarantee. It is the buyers responsibility to inspect and/or vet the car thoroughly before bidding. A buyer's and seller's perception or definition of condition can vary so its important to communicate clearly when asking questions. This is a very nice car and hard to come by in this condition. I wish I could keep it myself, but that is not possible at this time. Bid with confidence. This classicbeauty will sell to the highest bidder as I am running a NO RESERVE auction. I believe this is the best way to run an auction!
