1963 Buick LeSabre Additional Info:
This is an original paint 1963 Buick LeSabre 4Dr sedan with 62,000 original miles.
This car was originally purchased at Beacon Motors in Weyburn Saskatchewan by an elderly women. She owned the car until sometime in the mid 90's when she passed away. This car had under 30K at that time. This car was then handed down to a friend of the family which had the car until 2006. I then purchased it from this owner and had it shipped over to Ontario when it had 38K.
From 06 to now I have added just under 24K and have driven all the way down to NC and over to MI several times with no issues ever.
I am only selling because I bought another car I have been looking for since I was a teenager.
This car has lots of little chips in the paint and scratches. This car wasownedon a dirt and rock road most of its life. I thought about a repaint but felt I prefer the car to be original.
This car has all its original chrome which is nice and clean for its age but does have some small pits here and there... The piece most noticeable would be in pic 18(driver side tail light).
This car drives nice and straight and brakes really nice too for having its original equipment. Still has a single mastercylinder and original front aluminum drums.
The car has the original 401 2bbl. with 2 speed transmission. The car runs and drives great but the carb does need a tune up or adjusting. On cold starts or when the car sits it fires right up with no issues. On warm starts sometimes it will blow out some carbon. The car may need a good run on the highway which it has not had since last summer. It leaks a little oil. Nothing I was to worried about but when the car sits you see some on the ground pass side.
The washer pump makes noise but does not spit out much fluid. I looked a pump up the other day and I think it was about $40. Wipers work fine.
Last year I re-cored the original rad, replaced the front shoes, all 3 u-joints,hood insulation and 4 new tires. I had a new cross over pipe made up a few years ago in stainless.
As you can see in the pictures all the trunk lid and door lips are pretty much mint with no rust at all. Floor and trunk pans are very clean with no rot either.
If you look close in pic13(Pass fender) you can see a small rust spot.
Stitching has come out of the back seat at the top. The seats do have some stains/wear and shows their age. Dash pad has no cracks and is soft.
A few years ago I had someone break into this car although there was no really bad damage they screwed up a few things.... glove box lock, broke the antenna, broke the stainless around the back window(top pass side)
I have a new stainless piece for the window but have not put it on... I went out and bought a new rubber for the backwindow as well. I figured if I was going to have everything apart Iwould replace the rubber too.
I have a lot of extra partsthat can go with this car. 4bbl intake, heads, power steering pumps, pulleys, brackets, about 3 sets of aluminum drums, and two rear sets of drums, chrome and stainless pieces, door handles, ect....all the parts came off similar cars or 401 engines I have not really looked at the partslately but I have a bunch you can take them all. Or you can fly up pick through some parts when you are here put them in the trunk and drive the car home.
Car is being sold as is so ask lots of questions and I will do my best to answer because I am sure I may haveforgotten some small things
