I am reluctantly listing my beautiful 1963 Buick Wildcat coupe. This has been a western car
all of its life with solid floors, rockers and trunk pan and amazingly even panel and door gaps.
I would call it a bit of a survivor having a good deal of originality including what appears to be the
original paint on the roof, the door jambs and under the hood. It also has the original carpet, un-
cracked dash pad and the majority of the original beautiful saddle upholstery. It also has the
very rare-for-1963 AM/FM radio with rear fader speaker. The Bronze Mist paint on the lower
body is a base/clear with few imperfections, what I’d call a very nice driver quality.
The drivetrain looks to have never been apart, runs quiet and smooth and feels like it has much
less than the 101K currently on the odometer. The AFB carb was recently rebuilt and most of
the normal wear items – belts, hoses and the battery are fairly recent. For safety, the brakes
have been converted to a dual circuit system and the brake shoes and rare 12” front finned
aluminum drums are in excellent shape. Without driving for awhile it gives a second or two of
lifter noise and a puff of smoke on start-up but uses little oil and is certainly not worth cracking
open the virgin nailhead to address. The suspension and steering feel tight, the tires are new and
the big Wildcat cruises effortlessly at 75-80 hinting that the car has been lovingly cared for and maintained.
You will be the center of attention when you climb in, let the door click shut under its own weight
like a bank vault and turn the key (starts immediately on the first attempt in the morning.) Take
in the wonderful 60’s GM interior aroma, slip the Dynaflow into drive and cruise the PCH with
the windows down!
The car is being sold as-is and is located in Southern California. Look closely at the photos, email
any questions and bid to win this sweet time capsule.
