1964 Buick Other Additional Info:
A beautiful example of the classic sport Buick. The Wildcat was the rival to the 1964 Impala SS 409. This car is sporting a 425 CI Buick Nailhead engine with Dual quad carburetors. It is factory specs with 360 HP and 465 ft lbs of torque.
The original Motor comes with the purchase of the car, but you will have to pay for the shipping. It is a 401 CI Nailhead engine with a single 4 barrel Carter Carb, 320 HP. with 108,000 original miles, It was running strong, no smoke.
I purchased this car in August of 2015 from an owner in CA and the owner before was from Seattle. The total original mileage is reading 108,027 but only has 200 miles since rebuild. The car came to me painted teal, a change from it's original Firemist, a raspberry red color. I then proceeded to completely dismantle the car, polish all stainless, chrome the bumpers and misc parts, completely detailed all the engine parts, wiring was cleaned and has it's factory original wrapping on it, weatherstripping replaced, etc etc. As far as I can tell, there is no rust on this car, everything was very clean and easy to restore. The car has it's original radiator, but many other components have been changed, like water pump, AC compressor, oil pump and power steering pump.
The cars original steering links and ball joints are in place and nice and tight. The car drives strait and handles like a dream. I did replace the shocks, and brake components including the master. The original brake drums are like new condition. Buick had the largest passenger car brake bands and this car stops like disc brakes are installed.
The original radio worked but I disconnected it to power a stereo mounted in the glove box with two rear deck speakers. The clock and the speed buzzer do not work.
The Buick Road Rally wheels have been re-chromed with new center caps, utilizing older red wildcat emblems.
There are three blemishes in the paint on the top of the Driver front fender, very small, see photo. 1/2 gallon of paint is included.
