This car is a one owner, extremely smooth and strong running Roadmaster. It's been in the same family since it was purchased new in August of 1994 until the original owner recently passed away. It's always been well maintained with the most recent service consisting of coolant drain and refill with upper/lower radiator hose and heater hose replacement, oil change, and new whitewall tires. It runs and drives beautifully. This is the car you want especially for those long distance drives...it is the true American highway cruiser.
Cosmetically, it's exterior is in very nice condition except for a few imperfections, and the interior is near flawless as you would expect for such a low mileage car. It's been a non-smoker vehicle since new, so the interior leather, carpeting, headliner, etc. look great. It still smells like leather inside the car. Absolutely no foul odors, no mold, no mildew, no pet stains, absolutely clean interior. The dash pad is NOT cracked, the dual power seats are extremely comfortable, and all switches/controls work well. A/C works well. There have been a few spots on the roof and very top portion of the doors where the clearcoat is peeling (common with GM cars of this era) and throughout the past 22 years, a few areas needed repainting on the front fender and left rear quarter panel due to some minor dents that needed to be fixed. None of these accidents involved other vehicles and occurred at very low speeds, in fact, it was my uncle who hit the side of his very narrow garage door opening a couple of times and, on one other occasion, slid into a fencepost while backing up. Some of the paint on the front and rear bumper top plastic filler panels has peeled off. It passed strict PA state inspection in December 2016 and has valid stickers until 2017. The car doesn't need any additional maintenance at this time.
I've personally driven the car leisurely around town and sailed down the highway at 75 mph with no issues at all. It has PLENTY of power and acceleration. For those of you who don't know, this powertrain puts this car in the "holy grail" category of Roadmasters. It has the factory towing package with the heavy duty engine and transmission cooling system, factory upgraded transmission for smooth but very firm and crisp shifting, and rear stabilizer and traction bars. Buick's optional premium Gran Touring Suspension package. It keeps the ride very comfortable but adds that extra firmness in the suspension to curb body roll and excessive sway/bounce that makes the car handle beautifully. This is a very highly optioned car that is very hard to find, even harder to find with only 52,000 miles. This was his pride and joy. It's hard to see the car go after decades of it being in the family, and I hope it goes to someone who really appreciates what this car represents. Built in the USA in Arlington, TX these Roadmasters are the last of a breed of cars never to be seen again. They certainly don't build them like this anymore!
Good luck to all the bidders, and please contact me if you have any questions. Thank you.
