1965 Buick Grand Sport.Less than 3500 of these cars were produced. Considered one of the best up-and-coming investment classic cars. This car has had the same owner since 1973.
Options include: GrandSport Package, 425 engine withdual quads, automatic transmission, power seats, power windows, power antenna, rear seat arm rest, tilt steering,
air conditioning andpower trunk.
Engine Condition:
The heads and carburetors have been rebuilt Thecam, lifters and timing chain havebeen replaced. The car shows 15,000 miles, but there is no way to verify its actual mileage. The car runs and drives great and seems to have no driving issues that I am aware of. The detailing under the hood looks very nice. I believe most of it is original. The only things that I know do not work are the power antenna, air conditioning and the power trunk.
Interior Condition:
The interior seems to be all original, with the exception of the floor carpet. The driver's front seat is missing two of the pleat button covers. The headliner has a minor tear on the passenger's side. I would say for being a 90% original interior, it's in great shape.
Exterior Condition:
The body seems to be solid. It has no obvious rust. I can see that in the trunk there has been some minor repair and also on the floor, underneath the driver's and passenger's seat. In my opinion the car has had one re-paint, and although the paint is very presentable it is not what I would consider a high-dollar paint job.
Overall Condition:
This car is a very stand-up car as a driver. It is very original for its age, not to mention the fact that it is a very rare, desirable car.
I am not a car expert, so I feel that it is always best to see a car in person. I have had the car at cruise nights and car shows and people are always very impressed with its condition and originality. I will be glad to show the car if an appointment is made to see it in Cary, Illinois. If further details are needed, it would be best to call me by phone at 847-922-0336. Ask for Kenneth.
I am an honest seller and will answer any questions to the best of my ability. But again, I am not, nor do I claim to be, a Buickexpert.
Shipping is the sole responsibility of the buyer. The car comes with no warranty. I will only accept a $1,000.00 deposit on PayPal. The balance is to be paid by cleared check at my bank or wire transfer. I'm not interested in trades of any kind. I feel that the pictures pretty much sum up the description I have provided. Again, feel free to call me with questions about the car.
Please do not ask me what my reserve is I will not give out that information. I will only say that in my opinion it is low based on what I have seen for sale.
