1930 Bugatti Type 54 RecreationWOW! This little car is totally awesome. It's owned by the tenant (now personal friend) in my upstate NY automotive facility, who has long been the curator of his families huge collection of post war cars from an old Long Island collection, many decades in the making. The collection is now being liquidated, and this is the first to go. It's in a unique category, and we think the price is very fair. As some of you may know, the real deal can go for up to $8 digits. This is one of 4 real replicas, and built with cockpit room.I told him I'd pop it on eBay, because I've personally sold many antique and collectible cars here, and it's not his thing. If you have a partial trade, you can talk to me about it. I'm used to that. Check out my feedback to see my history of transactions. And my friend the owner of the car is totally old school honest type, so you shouldn't be disappointed if you take this further. I included a picture of how it sits right now, in the shop. Call me anytime to make an appointment or discuss logistics. 518-378-8058. Geof Hoffman.I'm in Florida, but I travel back often, and or can arrange for you to meet with owner. Following is his description:1930 Bugatti Type 54 Recreation. This build began with Mr. Ray Jones, well known in Bugatti circles and who befriended Rowland Bugatti post-World War II to source components. Jones set out to build four cars, and completed three. This Type 54 Recreation is car number four which Jones did not finish. The frame is accurate, with possibly original front axel and springs. Currently powered by a healthy 3.8L Jaguar motor and gearbox with a fully rebuilt 9” Ford differential; it is ready to go. Built for pleasure, not racing, and could be taken to the next level with original components (all factory holes have been drilled in frame). Type 54 Bugattis are few and far between, with less than 10 examples in existence worldwide. This vehicle gives one the opportunity to have and enjoy a Type 54 that is easy to drive and maintain, while having much more cabin space than the smaller cars at the very reasonable price of $285,000.
