1993 BMW 8-Series 850 Ci Additional Info:
This is a very nice example of a limited production car BMW produced. This 850 Ci I purchased from THE 2ND OWNER a Doctor in Ventura County in 2012. It has been stored away in my garage together with several other of my 8 Series cars. Only operating it to keep it up. The paint is in very good condition and has a deep shine. The black leather interior is in very good condition, no tears or serious wear marks. It is missing the ash try as well as the door coin holder. The tires have very little mileage, and mounted on the stock 16 inch wheels. The steering and suspension are tight. Only a couple hundred miles on a new fuel pump. The A/C blows cold air. The headliner is drooping and the sunroof doesn't open completely.
Car is being sold with the stock 16" original Wheels. The OEM "M" parallels are available but are an extra $2K. They are in excellent condition. The front spoiler trim piece is missing however I have a new one which I'll include with the car.
The car is in "Non Op" status and is being sold "AS IS." Buyer will be responsible for registering the car prior to operation, including smog. I may beable to assit in delivery on my car trailer if arrangements are made prior to the purchase. I had to have it smogged after my purchase and it passed with no issues.
NOTE: THIS CAR WAS NOT INVOLVED IN ANY ACCIDENTS AS REPORTED ON THE CARFAX. THE POLICE DEPARTMENT IN LA RECORDED THE INCORRECT PLATE ON THEIR ACCIDENT REPORT, USING THIS CAR'S LIC PLATE. SO, THEN DMV DOCUMENTED THE WRONG VEHICLE. OF COURSE THE AGENCIES INVOLVED COULDNT STOP THE BUREAUCRATIC MESS THEY CREATED. THIS CAR AT THE TIME WAS NON-OP AND LOCKED IN MY GARAGE. FURTHER, I'M THE 3RD OWNER. REPORT CONFUSES TRANSFERRING TITLE FROM LEASING COMPANY TO OWNER AS OWNER CHANGE....THIS ISNT A PERFECT WORLD! The 1st date was the 1st mistake, the 2nd date is believed when they attempted to correct the errors. I had been notified by the State Franchise tax bureau of them wanting money since the car, being on Non Op status was on the road and involved in an accident. When I call them, they looked at the police report and saw it wasnt this car, and noticed the error. I then called the PD who was to correct it. The PD submits a correction summary to DMV. That is most likely the 2nd date, when DMV corrected their record. The car report has a disclaimer for such errors. If you have an issue, just inspect the car, its obvious its never had a right front impact.
