Bought car from California in 2016. Shipped to BC. Worked on the car from 2016 to present. Lots of fun, but time to find it a new home.Body: Taken down to a doors off, gaskets off and replaced, all stainless trim removed. Front fascia replaced (rather than fixed) due to "dings" and "chips". Body sanded, trim holes welded and ground down, entire body primed with epoxy primer, painted in Canari Blu and Clear coat. (Car was remarkably free of rust). Small area of rust and small hole in passenger floorpan cut out and new pan welded in and sealed.Floors all soundproofed and sealed. New headliner, new fitted carpet, new console with Double-DIN in console with back-up camera. New Temp, oil pressure and voltage gauges. LED lighting inside and outside, LED headlights and driving lights. Front airdam.Mechanical: Mahle pistons, 292 camshaft, manifold to accommodate two twin side-draft Weber DCOE40 carbs. Electronic ignition, new oil pump, and chain/timing chain and guides/tensioners. New aluminium radiator and electric fan (replacing original fan). Blue Poly hoses. Electric fuel pump and mechanical fuel pump delete. SS shielded fuel hose. Adjustable Fuel pressure control valve. Pump shut-off switch and inertia shut off switch.BMW 3-type 5 speed gearbox .Pedal box refurbished. New brake master cylinder, New clutch master cylinder. Front pads and rotors new. Rear drum brakes replaced with disc brakes (calipers, pads and rotors and lines).Front and rear strut braces. New front wheel bearings.All new bushings throughout on suspension . New track rod assemblies. New coil springs and Shocks.Rebuild of LS differential, including bearings. New half-shafts for rear drive and bearings.Battery moved to trunk on designated alloy rack.New valve for heater box.14 inch BMW style bottle cap wheels.Upgraded fuses to blade type fuses.Nardi classic wood steering wheel.Electric power steering (Assist is adjustable). Makes for much easier driving and parking, etc.Front sports seats, Recaro type.
