1988 BMW 5-Series Additional Info:

Intro

This is a 1988 BMW 535i in Alpine White over Beige Leather interior with the euro bumper conversion. It has the 3.4-liter M30B34 inline-six mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The dashboard has some cracks, as often seen with these older classics. The onboard computer stopped working last year and the tachometer and odometer stopped working 5 years ago. It has a clean Carfax and clear title and is in New York.

Exterior

The exterior is finished in Alpine White with chrome trim and basket weave wheels wrapped in Michelin 17" tires. It has quad headlights with fog lights with chrome-accented Euro bumpers and dual exhaust outlets. Rust spots on the rear trunk edges above license plate, window corners, and under wheel wells is the only thing someone can point for possible fix. The front left fender had minor surface damaged by someone backing into it, and was changed, and the paint job was not matched properly to the car and I never got around to fixing the rust spots andaddressingthe paint.

Interior

Bucket seats and rear bench trimmed in beige leather with a color coordinated dashboard, center console, door panels and Coco floor mats. It has air conditioning, cruise control not working, an onboard computer, an aftermarket Alpine CD stereo, power windows, mirrors, and locks and a leather-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel. The onboard computer stopped working last year, the tachometer and odometer stopped working 5 years ago. The tachometer has an integrated instant fuel economy gauge, and additional readouts for fuel level and coolant temperature.

Mechanicals

The 3.4-liter M30B34 inline-six was factory-rated at 182 horsepower and 213 lb-ft of torque. It has 2025 inspection and tune up, and the oil/filter changes were completed every year. Other maintenance items include:

* New plugs, fuel filter, rotor, ignition wire set, air filter

* New battery in 2022 and added on/off switch

* New mufflers & cat. converter done

* New fuel tank

* New sway bar

* New brake pads

* New Pitman arm

* New clutch assembly and clutch slave

* New water pumps and belts

* R&R tie assembly & alignment

* 2025 fully inspected and garaged
