This car is not currently running and will require work to get there. You are viewing a 1986 BMW 325i Euro Spec (from Germany). I bought the car in 2020 via Bring a Trailer - you can look up the original auction there if you would like. This car came from Germany, spent some time in Canada, and is now here in Las Vegas, NV. I’ve had the e30 for over 5 years - and I’ve done a lot of work to keep her driving. Unfortunately, the car is currently not driveable - I’ve spent some time diagnosing, and I believe it to be a chassis power problem. It makes compression, it is getting gas, and it is getting power to the coil (I put a brand new could, spark plugs, distributor, and spark wires in just in case though), yet it still won’t start - so the issues is likely electrical. My best guess - a ground somewhere is no longer grounding. Or an ECU issue. This is a 2.5L 6 Cyl M20B25 example. It’s the first year that the 325i came out, and it hit Germany before it did the US. As such, this car has some parts in it that are specific. If you try to input a 1986 325i into a parts lookup computer, you can only select a 325, which is not the same. Most parts are compatible with an American 1987 325i, although I’ve had to order parts from Germany before. This is a mostly original, authentic Euro Spec with many of the sought-after parts, including the bumper, no third rear brake light, the dash clock, and much more. The cockpit heads up display is in German. The dash shows KM/H and Kilometers for “mileage”. This car has been garaged for over a year now, although before that I was using it as my daily. It ran great when it did run, and no thanks to a laundry list of replacement parts that I’ve had to deal with. Here’s the full history: 1. New clutch cylinder (2020) 2. New fuel pump (2020) 3. New fuel filter (2020) 4. New fuel lines (2020) 5. New power steering lines (2021) 6. New Z3 steering rack (2021) 7. New engine head (2021) 8. New timing belt and pulley assembly (2021) 9. New oil intercooler (2021) 10. New radiator (Radiator is not included for sale in this listing) 11. New cooling lines (included) 12. Coilovers - BC racing (2021) 13. New spark plugs, wires, and distributor, and coil (2021 and 2025) 14. New Euro Smiley headlights (2023) 15. New shifter cover (2023) 16. Custom headers and exhaust (2021) 17. A host of new electrical relays in both fuse boxes (I lost count) It will pass smog if you replace the catalytic converter every 2 years. It does tend to burn through them in about that time. All in all, the e30 just needs some TLC. Hoping to find a good home it.
