Vehicle Details

This is a 1985 BMW 535i that is a drivable project. I purchased this earlier this year because I’m a sucker for e28s. The reason I’m selling is that I just don’t have the time to devote to it and to keep it from just sitting, I’m putting it up for sale. The gentleman I purchased it from was driving it to work and around town before my purchase. I have not driven it myself since unloading it off of the trailer. Below is a description of the vehicle with what I know.Drivetrain:The vehicle starts up and drives. The motor does have a tick which sounds like a valve out of adjustment. The previous owner did tell me it could use a tuneup. The car is equipped with the desirable Getrag 265, 5 speed transmission with a  UUC short shifter installed. The 17” tires are in good shape and all hold air.Exterior:The paint is dull and rough. Someone attempted to wax it which has left wax residue everywhere. Also, an attempt was made to make it look euro and an M5 which can be seen in the pictures. The body panels are straight and all the glass is original.Interior:The front, comfort seats have been replaced with sport seats which are rough. They power seat controls do work, though. There is a tear in the headliner. The driver floorboard does have some rust, but there is no hole in the floor.I believe this to be a good start to a restoration or use it as a daily driver once everything is checked out. Please message with any questions.Note: Bidders with zero or negative feedback will have all bids cancelled. This is not a new 5 series, pristine 5 series, or new any kind of car. Please be reasonable in your expectations when considering this 39 year old, sub $3000.00 BMW that I am listing as a drivable project.I don’t want to play games or waste your or my time, so please be serious if placing a bid or using the “buy it now” button. Now is the time to ask questions, not after you have won the listing.
