Weber CarbDisc Front BrakesOriginally an Automatic but Converted to 4 Speed Manual**PLEASE VIEW YouTube VIDEO FOR MOST IN DEPTH ANALYSIS OF THE CAR**We purchased this awesome 2002 from a suburban family in 2023. It has been garage kept and regularly started and moved. He purchased it in 1994 from what we believe was the original owner from Massachusetts. It was completely restored at about the same time and we have 20+ photos of the car before, during and after. It began as a very dry Sahara Automatic. Upon restoration they painted it Agave green and swapped the Automatic trans for a 5 speed manual. They added a nice lower front valance which looks great. The paintwork still looks great today, inside and out. The car has some blemishes which we have done our best to represent in our photos and video. Interior: The interior of this 2002 is period correct and all there. The front seats have car covers over them as the seat bottoms need recovering. Carpets show quite well and the headliner and trim all shows nicely. The dash has the usual cracks in it but is otherwise nice. The gages show nicely and we note that odometer is currently inop. Since we know this car began as an Automatic and now has a 4 speed we note that the console was likely swapped as well. Its a little loose where it sits but is fully functional. Exterior:The exterior shows super clean and nice as you can see. It underwent a complete restoration in the early 90’s as our photos document. It has some scratches and very subtle dents that we show in our pics. We note a small area of paint blistering on the drivers side fender at the very bottom. We note a smaller section of the same on the passenger side as well. The paint is still intact but there is clearly some rust behind it. The wheels are freshly painted and look awesome. The lights all function properly and the lenses are clear. Glass is all nice and clean. Trim was all removed during restoration and rubbers show supple and nice. All brightwork shows really nicely. All in all this car stands very tall on the outside. Mechanical:Shortly after the body restoration the mechanicals were also gone through entirely. Services included water pump, ignition, brakes, fuel system, AC service, and gaskets. We have full service records. The car runs, drives and stops nicely. It has a newer battery. The clutch feels good and free from slipping. The Getrag 245 5 speed gearbox feels great. The car stops nice and straight with the most subtle pull to the left under heavy braking. Suspension is quiet and feels nice and snug. Lights all work properly including blinkers and wipers. Underside of the car is very solid and shows just as it should. We believe the AC is currently funcional but note that it is possible it may require a recharge. The car starts easily and idles nicely. It is free of smoke out the exhaust. All in all this is a fantastic example that has many more years of great driving ahead of it. Please call or text Mike at 312-420-3696Please also view the YouTube Video
