Known as the BMW Isetta, the tiny unconventional automobile was introduced at the 1953 Turin/Italy Auto Show.In 1955 BMW bought the name and the manufacturing rights from the original Italian designer, ISO, and started to produce the Isetta in Germany. Only 7.5feet long and 4.5 feet wide. Bubble-type windows, the entire front end of the car hinged outwards to allow entry, the steering wheel and instrument panel swings out with the door. An Emergency Exit for driver and passenger was provided by a canvas sunroof.
In 2007– 2009 this Isetta 250 was completely restored in Germany by a BMW master mechanic and then sold to a collector in the USA. He bought the Isetta to make it part of his private Museum/Collection.
Finished in red/white and red/white interior, black/white interior, bench seat, chrome mirrors, clear headlights, chrome luggage carrier, 10" steel wheels,manual steering. The air-cooled one-cylinder 250 cc engine generates 12 HP and is backed by a 4-speed Manual transmission. Top Speed app. 53 mph
The odometer shows 51.021 Kilometers. (App. 31,000 miles) Probably the original kilometers but not guaranteed. During the complete restoration in 2007/09, the engine was also overhauled and has basically 0 miles. In 2020 the fuel tank and the carburetor were cleaned, also a new battery was installed

The Isetta is stored in a climate-controlled warehouse in Deerfield Beach, Florida (Ft. Lauderdale). Due to closing-down the classic car collection, the car is now available for sale and comes with a free and clear Florida title.
