1984 BMW 6-Series SPORT Additional Info:
I bought this beautiful rust free California car from Frasier Park, California in non-running condition 4 years ago. It originally sold in Fresno, California by Weber BMW and stayed in Fresno area until I purchased it in 2015, it was on a non-op status (meaning it was not getting penalties by the DMV as it was not being driven as it was being stored in the back yard since 2005)
It had poorly repainted paint and peeling, had a few door dents, the entire interior was shot and the engine was bad. The reason I purchased it: it had a very solid rust free and virgin body.
Over the last 4 years, I bought a nice 635CSi replacement engine which is considered an upgrade (The vehicle was originally a 633CSi), bought entire beige interior, carpt, BBS rims, brand new front 1988-1989 front air dam (spoiler with fog lights), fog lights and brackets, LED headlight bulbs, european headlights, new tail lights, good rear speaker pods, good steering wheel, re-stored the 3 piece BBS RS-005 wheels, had the vehicle painted, put all new suspension, struts, shocks and Michelin tires.
It has now been officially resurrected, passed california smog check (Emission test) and got new license plates as the original plates were lost. it drives beautifully.
The air condition compressor kicks on but needs recharging and or converting to R-134 and recharging. Speedometer doesn’t work and doesn’t record mileage while driven.
Here is the list of all newly replaced items in addition to the items mentioned above:
Radiator, water pump, thermostat, spark plugs, cap and rotor, brake pads and drilled rotors, new bulbs, new front and rear side reflectors, all brand new suspension front and rear/
The car is amazing and a true gem and head turner, just the wheels alone are worth $2,500 if not more as even the studs have BBS stamped on them, I spent 27 hours restoring the BBS wheels.
You wouldn't be able to find a nicer E24, 635CSi in manual transmission than this anywhere. It's absolutely beautiful and breathtaking.
