For Your Consideration: 1992 BMW E34 535i with 5-speed manual transmission, factory 3:46 rear LSD and ASC (not ASC+T). OriginalIceland Green Metallic exterior andParchment leather/wood interior. Three owners: all BMWCCA members, all owned garages. Meticulously maintained since new, with comprehensive service records documenting all Oil services, Inspection I and Inspection II services since new (see below). Additionally, countless maintenance issues, both great and small, have been addressed in a timely manner throughout the car's lifetime, including issues common to E34s (e.g., driver power seat tilt/cable repair, driver's side door hinge repair). Head gasket job, to repair a minor oil leak, completed with new valve seals about 5,500 miles ago. Although I had every intention of enjoying the car for longer, I've been traveling often and my one-car garage finally needs to surrender to another, more valuable vehicle.
The car is factory spec, with the following exceptions:BMW M5 M-System II (i.e., "Throwing Stars") wheels. The factory ECU chip has been replaced with D'Sylva E.A.T Performance Chip E34-179.6K8 (6800 RPM limit). Euro BMW M5 front 25mm/rear 20mm sway bars (manufactured by Eibach, sold via Turner Motorsports). BMW E34 M5 shift knob, in matching wood finish.35% side and rear windows tint, period E34 door cup holder, and working Pioneer DEH-X3800UI CD/USB receiver.

M30B35 starts, idles, runs, and shuts off without issue, and pulls throughout rev range. Engine temperature runs consistently just under or at the halfway mark on the temperature gauge, even during summer and/or in stop-and-go traffic. Getrag manual transmission shifts effortlessly between gears; clutch feel is solid with no slippage. Power steering is smooth. Handles neutrally through corners.Current Virginia state inspection is valid through May 2020.
Paint: All original except for the passenger rear quarter panel, from when the first owner scraped his mailbox (Records indicate paint repair only, no body damage). To-be-expected-at-this-mileage cosmetic issues, such as a dime-sized spot and a couple of smaller chips on the hood, which have been previously sealed and touched up (i.e., no clear coat peel). There is a scratch on the driver's side door which has been touched up. Some mild road rash on the black plastic front spoiler lip, but solidly attached to front bumper. Dashboard, Consoles: All excellent. Steering wheel leather looks and feels new. All window switches, locks work.On Board Computer: All OBC functions work, with the exception of the remote, turn signal control of OBC functions (not uncommon with E34s).Seats: Both front power seats work; heater, memory settings work; excellent leather throughout, regularly maintained with Lexol, with minor wear on driver's seat (no rips, holes). Rear seat has barely been used. Tan BMW 5-series coin tray for door. Excellent wood.Headliner: A couple of minor sagging spots in the rear, but not typically noticeable until you touch them with your finger. I'm 6'4 and the headliner does not make contact with the top of my head when I sit in the back seats. This rear section of the headliner sometimes ripples gently when driving with windows down.Sunroof: Opens, closes, and tilts without issue. No leaks.Glass: All original, except windshield replaced by original owner; work done at BMW with new factory windshield. Professionally-installed 35% tint placed by second owner on side and back windows. A BavAuto front windshield sunshade is unrolled whenever the car is parked outside.Door panels: Great condition, with vinyl door inserts intact (i.e., not peeling away from door panels)Glovebox: Lid and lock work, E34 glovebox light in place, but does not work.
