This 2door Coupe was designed by BMW to Rival the Hot Hatch like the VW Golf GTI. The 318IS uses lighter drivetrain components than the other 3 series E30.
It draws it power from a very reliable and very well known BMW M42 4cyl. engine. The M42 is easily tunable on a budget and coupled with the lighter format of the lightest E30 in the series, it is often referred to a the "Baby M3 Killer".
This 318S is complete and fully functional, it is completely straight, clean and dry (No Rust), no holes inside no worn seat covers or fabric etc...
Yes the paint is a little dull and could use some attention but the rest more than makes up for it.
The car was smogged in California a month or so ago and does come with a new catalytic converter. The car starts runs and drive very well, even the AC works.
It comes with an after market Blaupunkt head unit and does have a cover over the original dash, the original dash is not crack free, but not a complete desaster either.
The car does have all the original and matching VIN tags on each of the body panels. It shows absolutely no sign of any accident/body repairs. The Carfax confirms that this car is clean and accident free.
One could eat of the bottom of the car, it is absolutely clean, unmolested and free of grime/fluid leaks/seepage.
