1980 BMW 6-Series M-Technic light weight Additional Info:

No Reserve

This car is a super rare unicorn of a full option, lightweight M-technic 635CSi with Dog-leg close ratio transmission. It’s super fast and has an amazing exhaust note that makes one want to take the long way home and take 6 days a week off just to drive.
Most M-Technic cars were just body kits, some were also equipped suspension, 17” rims and even more rare are the ones that were ordered from the BMW AG with high compression 10.5/1 compression engine and hot cam in light weight manual cloth seats and no air condition.
This car is perhaps truly the begening if not the reason for the M635CSi and M division to exist as it has all trim including the fender flares, wheels and rear spoiler that BMW M would use 4 years later to creat the legendary M635CSi with the M88 engine borrowed from the M1.
This particular car has not been bastardized by the federal regulations as it lacks the ugly side markets, has original Km speedometer, and has not been fitted with Catalytic converter.
It was imported into the USA in 09/1980. It entered production in 07/1979 and left the factory in 09/1979 as completion date.
The under carriage, chassis and the body is vertically rust free. The car sat for a collective 28 years of it life, majority of which it was in a dry dusty garage in Beverly Hills, California covered hence the dryness of paint causing fading on roof, trunk and even cracking paint on the hood as shown in pictures.
Come see this beauty in person as this is a chance of a lifetime to own a real rare part of might be the car that altered BMW history to creat the M635CSi
eBay only allows 24 pictures so it’s impossible to use 100 photos to show the vehicle in the details that it deserves to be shown in.
