Incredible driver with tons of charm. Over $40,000 in recent services and restoration and detailing. Full mechanical servicing rendering a very nice driver in classic pastel colors. Much rarer than its half sized cousin, the Isetta 600 shares the same front door and steering linkage but boasts a 2 cylinder 600 cubic centimeter motor that propels it to highway speeds. Enough room for the whole family, just don’t bring stinky Uncle Ray.
This vehicle is powered by the 582 cc (35.5 cu in) flat-twin engine from the R67 motorcycle/sidecar combination. This engine, which delivered 19.5 horsepower (14.5 kW) at 4,500 revolutions per minute, was mounted behind the rear wheels. A four-speed manual gearbox was standard. The 600 had a top speed of approximately 100 km/h or 62 miles per hour.
This car is a remarkably striking example. Restored for a high tech guru in the Seattle area, it is an opportunity to get a great example for less than the restoration costs. Priced to sell, this car will be a delight for any collection.
