1986 BMW 6-Series 635 CSI COUPE Additional Info:
This is a one owner 1986 BMW 635 CSI Coupe with a 4 speed automatic transmission. The car is fully equipped with all options. Everything works and operates as is should. The miles on the car are 100% original and documented. The A/C in the car is all original and blowsextremelyice cold air. This car has been fully maintained by the BMW dealer it's entire life. It has only been driven in good weather and new driven in the winter months. The car has a perfect auto check history and has never been to the body shop for any major or minor body repair. It's paint (the color is called Delphin grey) and the pinstripe are completely original from BMW. The car runs and drives as it did when it was brand new. It handles like a dream and needs absolutely nothing. Coker, Michelin is re-producing the original tire that came on the car when it was new. I put a new new of these TRX's on the car late last fall. I don't think they have 100 miles on them. They are perfectly correct to the car to keep it in it's pedigree status. I bought the new tires directly from Coker Michelin and they were $1500.00 for the set of four. Any questions about this beautiful car you are more than welcome to call and speak with me in person. My name is Brian and I'm with Globe Motors in Spokane Washington. Ph. 509-710-4444

These tires have remarkable grip thanks to the ideal distribution of pressure in the contact patch, and excellent comfort due to increased useful flexing zone. TRX tires are built in the authentic molds and are available in many sizes for European and US autos. Quantities are limited and current stock on hand may be available, butfuture production is not guaranteed. The invention of the TRX tires by Michelin in 1975 permitted a more even distribution of tension in the whole tire casing, which is where the name of TR standing for “Tension Repartie” ("distributed tension") comes from. The Michelin TRX won renown in Formula 1 racing with Renault and Prost and in the world rally championship on the Audi Quattro, 205 Turbo 16 and R5 Turbo. For the first time, the tire and its rim complemented one another perfectly, working as a single unit. The rim underwent a fundamental transformation, the essential characteristic of which was a flatter, lower flange. This new design of the rim and tire bead resulted in a gradual curvature of the casing, without the "S" shaped flexing inherent in traditional designs. Thanks to this innovative construction, the TRX tire offers better directional stability and makes a great contribution to the active safety of the vehicle, thanks to its exceptional handling close to the limit, especially when cornering. The seventies saw the dawn of increased awareness of the importance of vehicle safety. In many countries it became compulsory to wear seat belts and speed limits were introduced on main roads and motorways. For the tire, this led to improvements in grip, more precise steering, increased stability and better levels of comfort, reducing driver fatigue on longer journeys.
