Hi Everyone and thanks for looking. This is an original BMW 2002 tii California Car, ut now located in Middletown Rhode Island where she received a lot of love. When I purchased the car I originally considered a nut and bolt rebuild because it was so clean, ight and straight. After driving the car, realized that to do so would have been a huge disservice to this beautiful girl, nd I decided on a very light, ympathetic restoration, eeping much of its character.
Although it has an older paint job, he Malaga paint shines beautifully with no major imperfections and most of the rubber seals on the car have also been replaced with new ones. The engine had recently been rebuilt to stock specs as had been the original transmission, oth function as they should, iving crisp acceleration and a grin from ear to ear. The suspension and brakes are equally crisp providing firm stopping and sharp handling. The e21 wheels are a common period upgrade rolling on Kelly Radials which are retaining most of their tread and appear to be in excellent shape.
The interior has been upgraded with genuine e21 Recaro seats and e24 rear seats. The front Recaros are in good condition, ut could use new straps in the saddle. The door panels and carpets are new. The headliner has also been replaced. The dash has a few cracks but it is still tidy. The body and structure of the car is extremely solid. The floors are original and have not been patched. The drivers side arm rest could use a replacement, nd the center console, riginally designed for AC, ould be replaced with a Non AC one, r, he AC can be reinstalled.
This is truly an amazing and practical car that feels like an old friend that gets a lot of attention where ever you go, nbsp;NOT an overly restored museum piece that you might be afraid to drive. She begs to be driven and loved and should provide years of service.

I wanted to note that the car is currently missing one wiper arm and blade. I will replace this. The car is has sun visors (not shown in the pics). They will be replaced with the originals which are in good condition prior to delivery. Finally, he fan motor has been replaced AND works well in all speeds EXCEPT high speed. It still blows fine in high speed but the fan blade is out of balance and it vibrates (only in high speed).
