1973 BMW Other Additional Info:
This 1973 BMW Bavaria is an excellent example of a Vintage performance sedan with 3.0 liter inlne six cylinder sporting two carburetors, a four speed transmission with a great handling independent rear suspension. It has power disc brakes on all four wheels and stops amazing for 1973 models. It is a pleasure to drive as it is equipped with power steering and front bucket seats. The tread is good on all tires and it has a rebuilt/updated radiator. The doors lock and the windows roll up and down. It comes with the jack, spare tire and lug nut wrench.
This model comes with the preferred small bumpers and that famous BMW grille. It currently shows low mileage of 70,492 and it does not burn oil. It runs ... it drives ... and it stops well. The cruise control even works. Although the air conditioning system is complete, it has not been updated to current freon requirements and I haven't converted it. The metal sun roof is a manual hand-cranked type. It was complete but had a broken cable when I bought it so the cable needs replaced but all parts appear to be present.
This sedan is not a rusty relic and, except for a few small scratches and tiny hail dents shown in the pictures, it is very straight, very usable and gets noticed "as is" where ever I drive it. The interior is dark blue and black. The front and back seats are leather. The fronts are currently covered as the leather has seen better days but are complete and can be recovered.
This is a fun car to drive, or it could be restored, modified or even driven as a family Rally car.
