1982 BMW 3-Series Additional Info:
1982 BMW 323i Euro model. Clean rust free car that presents very well. The car has an engine out of a later 325i with a euro 320-6 carb intake that has been modified to run a Holley carb. It also has MSD ignition with stainless long tube headers. The battery has been relocated to the trunk with front and rear upper tie bars installed. The suspension has Bavarian autosport lowering springs with new Boge struts. It also has new front lower control arms and Korman sway bars with new bushings. The differential is standard open with an Ireland engineering diff mount. The brakes have been completely gone through with new front calipers, rebuilt rear calipers, new hoses, and slotted rotors. The transmission is the standard 4speed. The interior is also standard with all the seats tear free. The sunroof is in place and operational. The car runs and drives very well and is rolling on 15mm spaced rial wheels with brand new tires.
Other info about the car. The a/c was deleted before I purchased it and I do not have any of the parts. The power mirrors are in place but the motors in the mirrors have stopped working. The odometer gear is cracked so it works intermittently but I think the mileage is close to 104k. I purchased the car after it had been parked (inside) for several years. The previous owner had done the engine swap. He claims the motor is rebuilt but I have no proof. Under the valve cover is spotless and it runs great with no noise or smoke but I have no documentation on the engine. Beyond that, I went through all the cars systems and refreshed everything to make it a fun little driver. When the car was imported, U.S. Bumpers were installed. The euro bumpers were put in place later so some of the holes from the U.S. Bumper install are still present. The car also has the rare single headlight set up with the inboard driving lights and city lights. These all function as they should. The car also feature a BBS front spoiler and and a foho rear trunk spoiler
Spares: original 2.3 engine (partially disassembled), another 4spd trans, rf fender, a mountain of the original CIS parts with many extras, 4 headlight grill set up, the original 13" wheels (steel), and bins of other misc parts.
This is a nice opportunity to own a rare, modern, fun, appreciating classic! Thanks for looking!
