1987 BMW 3-Series 325e Additional Info:

This is a turn-key, echanically perfect E30 325E coupe for sale! It still needs a bit of work to make it a real show-car, ut it runs like a champ. So much so, n fact, hat it can be sold safetied!
The M20B27 (2.7L) motor pulls hard and idles smoothly. The clutch grabs hard, nd the car has no problem getting up to highway speed. Alignment is spot-on. This car will also never need an emissions test, since it's an '87 model.
The interior is in immaculate condition - it's in better shape than a lot of cars two decades its junior. The dash isn't cracked - a common problem for E30s, nd the leather is still supple, ith no tears to be found anywhere. Headliner isn't sagging, nd there are no stains worth mentioning.
The body is the roughest part of the car, hough the chassis is in very good shape. The paint has a few faded spots, nd the front fenders I would just replace. They're easy to find and relatively cheap. There are a few rust spots that need attention, s well as in the rear passenger wheel well. Pretty typical of a car this age. Overall it's what I'd call an honest car. There's no body filler hiding under any repaints, he paint is all original, nd the car has all the small dents and dings to prove its age. It's not hiding anything.
Here's a quick rundown of the good and bad stuff on this guy:
GOOD:
- fuel and brake hard lines replaced (if you know E30s you know how much of a job this is and how expensive it can get)
- new brakes - pads, otors, alipers, oses, nd e-brake line
- all belts replaced
- new ignition components - plugs, ires, istributor cap
- new rad hoses
- new alternator and battery
- new clutch fan and clutch assembly
- all electrical except the dash clock and tach) are fully functional
- cabin seals are perfect - no leaks or excessive noise intrusion; including on the sunroof!
- has a mostly complete set of service records dating back to original owner (!!)
- wiper blades and headlights have been replaced
- power window regulators and motors functioning perfectly
- fog lights work
- comes with a set of Thule roof racks (ready to install)
- comes with an extra set of BMW basketweave rims (tires are junk though)
- car is stored indoors
BAD:
- front fenders need replacement or repair
- tach doesn't work - I suspect a bad ground, ut am too lazy to chase it down
- ABS disabled (intentionally), o it's worth learning to threshold-brake
- Air-conditioning disabled (intentionally)
- Interior clock works intermittently (though the thermometer works fine)
- Radio antenna needs replacement
- '80s soundsystem. 'Nuff said.
