1979 BMW 320i - 2.0L 4 cylinder, fuel injected engine; 4 speed manual transmission; RWD With the release of the E21 model cars in 1975, BMW created the 3 series. These cars have certainly changed a lot over the last 40 years both in appearance and performance. Like modern BMW's, the 320 was well regarded and a capable small sports coupe when it was new. The 320 is a classic BMW that is somewhat rare these days, especially in good condition. We were offered this one by a customer who was moving away. It ran and drove when we got it but needed a clutch and paint. We ended up doing quite a bit more service and reconditioning to bring it back up to speed. This car runs and drives well and is really a lot of fun for what it is. While it is exempt from inspection, the car is safe and everything works. Even the accessories such as the sunroof and the air conditioning are functional. The overall mileage is low for the age of the car. The interior is original, clean and in good condition - a tribute to quality materials. The exterior has been repainted as has some of the trim.
