For sale is my 1994 BMW 325i convertible. Sharp looking clean sport car, absolutely no rust, leather seats. The original factory paint is still shiny as you can see on the attached photos that is the evidence of good care and always being garage kept. The car has keyless entry, power locks, power seats, alarm system.
I bought this car from Fields BMW of Orlando, FL for $3,450 in 2015 as a weekend car for Alabama weather where a convertible comes very handy!
I am an engineer whose hobby is fixing cars. Well, I got more fixing to do than I bargained for with this car - LOL!
This car was vomiting engine oil and power steering fluid through every possible origin, but I took care of that by replacing the oil pan gasket, valve cover gasket and oil filter housing gasket. I fixed the front end by installing new lower control arms, new bushings, tie rods and replaced the steering rack, PS hoses and PS reservoir. New water pump installed and all belts replaced.
The car also needed new CV axles and a new ball bearing for the left rear wheel.
The guibo flexible joint between the driveshaft and transmission was also replaced.
I installed a new SONY stereo with MP3 player (USB port) and auxiliary jack for your IPhone or IPod, with remote control. You can play your favorite music from a USB memory stick.(see photos )
I fixed the before only manually operable convertible top by installing two 6 pole rocker electrical switches to control the soft top motor and the storage compartment lid motor. Works great – the idea and wiring diagram came off from bimmerforums.com where you can find all kind of info regarding fixing these BMW cars.
I put on new tires for the front – the back tires are about 60% tread. New battery cost me $165 – Made in Germany. The breaks are in good shape.
The engine runs strong, these straight six motors can run easily for 350,000 miles if kept the oil changed regularly.
Now, the job is done – the car is fixed, everything works as should, but I am retiring and moving to the Philippines. My wife is Filipino and she wants back home, - I cannot disagree and it is nice to live by the ocean in an affordable environment.
I can drive the car to the Atlanta airport where you can pick it up and drive it to your home anywhere in the United States, or I can assistyour shipper with loading.
