Having lived a sheltered life in a climate controlled environment, this Bentley has never suffered from any kind of corrosion, nor has it ever been damaged in any way. It's straight as an arrow, with perfect gaps and shut lines throughout. The car runs on its original, chromed alloys, shod with top-of-the-line VOGUE Wide Track Touring tyres of the correct dimension 235/70-15 that were installed in 2015, less than 500 miles ago. Bentley's Graphite finish is perfectly preserved. Only some miniscule rock chips and blems, mainly below the front bumper, give testimony that this is not a new car. There are no dings, scrapes or dents. Inside the clean engine compartment, we find the famous 6.75-liter (411.9 cu.in.) Vee Eight engine, built one by one at the rate of three to four total each week, with a single builder assembling each unit. The car had been serviced for many years by Santa Barbara's premier independent Rolls Royce/Bentley shop Muller & Goss. All it needed at the time of our purchase was to replace the leaky rear gas shocks ("spheres"), which we promptly did. The hydraulic suspension and brake system now operates 100% perfect. This particular engine is healthy like a new one. It starts on the button. Thanks to German Bosch fuel injection, it runs perfect in all possible conditions. Car never overheats. We've just had the A/C serviced and it works just like it should! Only the finest materials have been used to create this bespoke interior, worthy of a King. The unmistakable aroma of fine, slate gray CONNOLLY leather is still present. Fabulous dark walnut wood trim is in wonderful condition. amazingly, the factory-installed sound system with automatic power antenna still functions like new! The rear passenger compartment is a very spacious, yet cozy, featuring dual burlwood-framed vanity mirrors and reading lamps, as well as the traditional foot rests. Let's take a quick peek into the car's luggage compartment. The cavernous trunk is fully carpeted with leather-bound WILTON. Battery hides in special compartment on the right, as do the spare mineral oil bottles. Jacking equipment and tools as well as the foldable warning triangle are concealed below the package shelf. Factory tool box for "small tools" is complete and unused.
