1934 Bentley Other Additional Info:
1934 DERBY BENTLEY sport saloon project. The chassis on this car is VERY nice from one end to the other. The cowl, hood, front & rear fenders, runningboards, 4 doors and grill are all very good. The actualbody shell on the car would need a lot of work but this car could be turned into a wonderful drop head or be used as the basis for a period "Bentley Special" making you an instant Bentley Boy with a REAL 1930`s Bentley. Apparently the engine has been rebuilt, it certainly looks like it. I just got the car yesterday and have filled the bores with oil and will try turning it over next week, right now i just want to make sure i don`t do any damage when I do turn the engine over. All of the hand controls on the steering wheel work beautifully, just a nice click click click with no binding up orsloppiness. All the complex throttle linkage`s work very nicely and everything is free with nothing seized up or rusted. The car rolls and steers fine and the tires hold air with no leaking down. The tires are Homerton and may even be the originals for all I know. If the mileage of 25000+ is anything to go by I would say they are original to the car from new. I have no way of knowing for certain what the mileage is and I do not know any history on the car apart from that it has been stored inside warm and dry for at LEAST 30 years, maybe closer to 40!EVERYTHING I have is in the pictures, if you don`t see it I don`t have it.The car will come with a clear Georgia registration in my name which I will have in hand within a week or so. Georgia was a Non Title State prior to 1985 and only issued a Registration Card to the owner. I will supply official paperwork from Georgia DMV to that effect which will allow the Georgia Registration to be exchanged for a Title in any state of the nation and will also allow the car to be exported. My apologies for some of the pictures being turned sideways. No matter what I did I could not get them to load right way up. I have lots more pictures and will be glad to take specific pictures of any parts of the car you would like to see, just ask.I will happily export the car to anywhere in the world and have a great deal of experience of such, just email me for a shipping quote. Typically to anywhere in mainland Europe or England the cost is $1800 to $2200 for a 20 foot enclosed sea container. Loading and securing the car inside is no problem. You can reach me on 864 356 3343 to chat about the car.I REQUIRE FULL AND COMPLETE PAYMENT WITHIN 5 DAYS OF THE AUCTIONS END. The ONLY forms of payment I will accept are CASH IN PERSON or a BANK WIRE TRANSFER. No other forms of payment will be accepted. No check, no money orders or PP, end of story. If the Georgia Registration is not in hand by auctions end I will happily write up a contract stating that it will be forthcoming and supplied with the car but I REQUIRE FULL PAYMENT WITHIN 5 DAYS NO MATTER WHAT. If you cannot abide by this one simple prerequisite then please do not bid. I will add notes later on as the auction progress`s to keep you informed about what I find re the engine turning over et cetera. Any inspection is more than welcome and encouraged. Our lovely local airport is Greenville/Spartanburg code GSP. I will happily pick you up if you call ahead. 864 356 3343. If you get my VM machine just leave a message and I will call you back, make sure you leave your area code and time zone. Thanks and good luck y`all.
