BECAUSE LIFE IS TOO SHORT TO DRIVE A BORING CAR!! The Classic Car Gallery 2316 Fairfield Ave. Bridgeport, CT 06605 203-446-4172 1967 Austin Mini Countryman “Adorable little car, well sorted and ready to go! Summer fun to the max!!” Vin AAW8812163P The car on offer here is this adorable 1967 Austin Mini Countryman. This is a RHD model that was built in New Zealand and driven on the South Island by the original owner before being brought to the US in the 1990s. We have been... told that the car was imported as a non running vehicle and put into storage in 1993. It was purchased in 2008 after 15 years in storage, and it has since been refurbished with new paint, wood trim, bumpers, and refurbished wheels. Power comes from a correct 850cc inline-four mated to a 4-speed manual transmission; the head has been reconditioned with hardened exhaust valves. Rebuilt 1 3/4? SU carburetor, K&N air filter feed the Mini Spares inlet manifold. A new 3-row radiator with electric fan, new water pump, LCB header, free flow exhaust, front disc brakes, and more finished off the mechanicals. Receipts for the parts used during the refurbishment are included, and this Countryman is now being offered with a clean transferable Connecticut registration. The rear corner valances and the drivers floor board were replaced before the car was repainted Almond Green. New wood trim and chrome bumpers were installed after the paintwork was completed. The New Zealand trademarks are still present on the glass, and the left front sliding window has a 6? scratch. New rubber seals have been fitted to the windows and doors, and the front window tracks and drains were replaced. The black interior is in excellent Original style wheels were restored and fitted, and are shod with new Camac 10? radials up front; the rears wear Kuhmo tires with approximately 4k miles on them. The original spare tire indicates it was manufactured in New Zealand. Inside, the seats have been restored and are in excellent condition; the car has seat belts up front, a restored headliner, and carpets, as well as a Webasto-type canvas sunroof. The hand-push windshield washer does not work. Rear ambulance doors open to show a bench seat that folds down to allow more space in the cargo area. The spare wheel and jack are in a compartment below the hinged floor panel. The 850cc inline-four is paired with a 4-speed manual transmission. The engine was last serviced with an oil/filter change about 1k miles ago. The car has received the following items: -Rebuilt 1 3/4? SU carburetor with K&N air filter -Mini Spares inlet manifold -Reconditioned head with hardened exhaust valves -LCB header with RC40 free flow exhaust -Petronix electronic ignition (replaces the mechanical points) -3-row radiator with electric fan -New water pump -Spin-off oil filter The car is adorable and runs and drives as well as it looks. The engine fires up quickly and has the expected amount of power and torque. It is easy to drive, the transmission shifts well and the clutch engages with authority. The car draws crowds wherever it goes! The car comes with manuals and receipts along with other automobilia related to the car.
