1948 Austin DORSET Additional Info:
This is my 1948 austin dorset it is a ton of fun! I haven't had it long but I'm building another car so I could use the cash since as always the budget has been thrown out... So here's your shot to grab a really cool rid.e It has a 3.8 buick v6 same motor as a grand national would have but a non-turbo unit. It has a mild cam a 4bbl intake and edelbrock carb on it. It runs very well and with the turbo400 auto trans having a shift kit it will chirp the second gear shift! The rear is a very tight mustang 8 inch and there is a mustang II front suspension with front disc brakes. The body is steel except for the rear fenders and the full tilt nose. The tilt front end is the thicker "street" style fiberglass and is in very good shape it has zeus fasteners to hold it in place when it's closed. The red paint shines very nice but since it's 5-6 years old it does have a couple of little chips from being used but it still pulled an award at a local cruise night with about 300 cars their. The interior has a full set of gauges and they all work as they should. It has a fuel cell and a working fuel gauge too. The trunk is fully finished and the battery is mounted in a box in the corner with a disconnect on it. The interior is a bucket seat set in front and a small bench style back seat. The rims are 13' in front and 14' in back and look to be anson sprints or something very close to that. They shined up pretty good and have almost no marks on them. The tires are in good shape also. The car is turn key it is very unique and with the v6 drives very well. You won't see another one at your local car show or cruise night like this one so don't miss this opportunity to grab this gem. Please ask any question you would like and if you want to see the car or need more pictures let me know thanks for looking and good luck!
