Up for auction is my RED 1967 Austin Healey 3000 BJ8 with black interior which is the car’s factory color. This is an original 29,000 mile vehicle with complete owner history. I am the fourth owner of this vehicle. Every aspect of this car has been restored and it is a multi-car show winner. This car has also achieved a Silver level certification in the Concours d’Elegance, Austin-Healey Concours Registry.
It has new glove leather seating and I have the original vinyl seat covers that are in very good condition. I also have the original banjo style steering wheel that needs restoration. In addition, the car comes with its original convertible top cover that is in excellent condition, tonneau cover that is in good condition and has been repaired over the years, and its original door panels. The convertible top material is not original to the car; however, the top is a new old stock Everflex original convertible top that is in excellent condition. This car also has a modern classic look AM/FM stereo radio with an MP3 input.
Everything on this vehicle is in excellent working order, including the electric overdrive. It has original style Michelin ZX radial tires and new Dayton chrome wire wheels made in the USA, not Dunlops wire wheels which are made in China. It also has a new original style mild steel exhaust system which is no longer manufactured and was secured through a lengthy search and great expense. The exhaust system is painted black, as it was when these cars left the factory. The mild steel systems offer that GREAT exhaust note that Healeys are famous for and which cannot be replicated with the new stainless steel systems.
The engine starts right up, runs strong, and does not burn oil. The transmission also shifts easily and goes through the gears smoothly, including overdrive. Additionally, please note from the pictures that the engine compartment, undercarriage, fender wells, and trunk are all painted the vehicle’s color RED, not black like so many of the partial or cheaper restorations. This car is an excellent driver with a current value of $90K by Hagerty Classic Car Valuation.
This is one of the nicest Austin Healeys you can find!!! I think the pictures speak for themselves and there is not much else to say about the vehicle. However, if you have any questions, please contact me and I will do my best to answer them.
NOTE: Immediate $250. nonrefundable deposit is due immediately after purchase through PayPal at the end of this auction and full payment is due within seven (7) days.
Additionally, this vehicle is being listed under my wife’s ebay account. If you would like to view my feedback, my user ID is 62mgb.
